Common Mistakes In Bodybuilding And Workout Routines

Do you work out for general health and fitness or to lose weight fast?  Regardless of your reasons, there is a right way and a wrong way to execute your workout routines.  The right way can provide you with health and wellness while the wrong way can result to injuries.  Let’s look at the common mistakes in the way many do their workout plans.


Having no goals in mind

One common mistake of people is not to have a specific and practical goal in mind.  A personal fitness trainer can help you with this.  But, the actual goal must be motivated by your own desire for health and fitness and not just get some action with the sexy person across the room (that will come eventually if you play your cards right).  So start with what you want to accomplish with your workout routines so that your certified fitness trainer can map out your fitness routines.  It starts with target and it requires that you internalize it and shoot for it everyday.

Not following your workout plans

Designing your fitness program requires careful thought.  This is why you have an expert to guide you every step of the way.  Unfortunately, there are people who just trash this program and just do as they wish.  This can derail your fitness progress and can even result in injuries.  A sound plan scaffolds your progress.  You are just wasting your time and money if you do not follow your exercise routines.  Worse, you are just wasting energy for results that you may not get on time.  So stick to the plan! Be faithful to the repetitions, resistance, proper body mechanics and every detail so you can get the toned muscles and lose weight fast. 

Lack of dedication and discipline

Health and fitness does not pop up from nowhere.  Rather, it is built through dedication and discipline.  One does not go to a gym and then miraculously go out with rock hard abs and a gorgeous butt.  It requires time on fitness equipment and the sweat that comes with using them.  You can turn to your exercise buddy, personal fitness trainer or some other motivator to keep you going.  Remember, health and fitness is a lifelong endeavor, more importantly, there are no quick fixes to health.


If you want to lose weight fast, get toned abs or sexy chest and shoulders (or any body part), you have to commit to your exercise routines.  It is not easy task to shed off the fats quickly and safely but it can be done.  Likewise, building strength, flexibility and endurance takes time.  But it can be done.  In the end, bodybuilding, getting gorgeous abs or some other health and fitness goal can be attained if workout mistakes are avoided.
