Lose Weight Fast With These Exercise Routines At Work

Do you have time to exercise so you can lose weight?  Lack of time for workout routines is a common reason not to give health and fitness enough attention.  But you can lose weight fast and burn more fats if you get into the habit of exercising.  What’s even more amazing is that you can do these simple workout routines right in your office.  Now there is no excuse for you not to workout.  These are simple and effective weight loss strategies that can burn your belly fats in no time. 


Walk up instead of using the elevator

An effective way to lose weight fast and burn more fats is to do cardio-vascular exercises.  You don’t have to run around the office to do this.  Instead, you can opt to walk up a few flights going up to your office.  This is the real stair climber exercise that yo can do at work.  If you are up to it, you can even walk down instead of using the elevator.  After a few weeks of doing this, you’ll notice that your endurance will improve. 

Healthy tips:

  •  Start with going up one floor first then gradually add more
  • At first, take your time so you won’t stress your body
  • Use regular strides up (or down) the steps
  • When you have no problem walking up or down, you may want to add speed to give you some more workout intensity
  • Observe proper body posture to avoid strain or injuries
  • Breathe properly.  Holding your breath while climbing will exhaust you faster.

Carry stuff around the office

A little resistance can help build muscle strength.  So carry files or books to the next department instead of having someone else do it for you.  If you’re up to it, you can even change the 5-gallon water bottle of the dispenser when it is empty. Another way to get this exercise into your work day is to volunteer to help out a co-worker with his/her things.  Apart from endurance, you have to build power and strength.  This will help you get into shape and lose weight faster.

Health tips

  • When lifting heavy objects make sure you do not put too much strain on your back.  Lift by putting the effort on your legs and thighs
  • Keep your back straight
  • If the object is heavy, avoid sudden changes in direction to avoid muscle injuries and strain
  • Do not lift any object that you can’t.  Forcing yourself can cause more problems than help
  • If you feel sharp and intense pain, put the load down
  • If you need to rest in between the loads, do so.

Contract your core

Have you notice that when you sit on your chair you just slouch?  Well, this is a good time to work out your core.  NO, you won't do sit ups while in the office. Instead, Take the time to contract your core.  To do this you need to sit straight up and contract your abs.  Hold this for a couple of seconds and then relax.  This is an excellent way to maintain a good posture while working.  Plus, it helps strengthen your core.

Health tips:

  • You can set a timer on your computer to alert you so you can do your core contraction exercise
  • It would be a good idea to be mindful of your breathing
  • When you contract your core hold it for around 10 to 20 seconds.  Repeat is several times.

If you exercise regularly you have a better chance of losing weight fast.  Also, burning more calories and getting rid of extra fats become easier if you live a life with health and fitness as a part of your routines. Workout routines do not have to be confined in gyms or in your home.  You can turn mundane activities at the workplace into energized workout routines that will help you become fit.
